Cast of fine ceramic and hand painted inside and out in bright glazes, the box is fairly small, measuring 4.5” wide, 4.5” deep and 7” high, so it fits well on a bookshelf, mantel or end table. It stands on four little banded legs. The outside is decorated with molded-in dog bones and a placard reading “good dog” on the front side. The matched lid features an extended rim that nests in the box to prevent it from sliding off. Sitting atop the lid is a quirky little pup that serves as a handle.
