| As the name would indicate, the German Shorthaired Pointer originated in
Germany. The breed is a member of the Sporting Group of dogs. The medium-
sized hunting and retrieving dog has a water-repellant, shorthaired coat of brown,
liver or white with liver patches and flecks of white. The energetic breed has a
sleek and muscular build without being stocky. The German Shorthaired Pointer is
a good family dog and loyal companion. However, the breed does require attention
and a great deal of physical activity. |
