The sculptures are made from a unique process so that the cat or dog actually appears to be peering through a solid glass block. Each six-inch tall piece has a smooth front and tapered sides. The back of the glass is concaved. Recessed into the back is a reversed etching of the animal. The etching is then hand painted in a vibrant color with black accents. The end result is an exquisite piece of art.
